
ARTIST: Call For Entries
2nd Annual Arts
Boulevard at the 29th Annual Sweetcorn Festival
August 27th and
28th, 2004
Urbana
Business Association is seeking artists to show their work in the newly formed
Arts Boulevard at this year’s Sweetcorn Festival. Arts Boulevard will be
located in the hub of festivities.
The Boulevard will showcase our local
talent and provide the opportunity for a large variety of people to view and
experience the art. Certificates of participation will be awarded to each
displaying artist. Artists will also receive a listing on the Urbana Business
Association website (www.urbanabusiness.com) Sweetcorn Festival page.
Artists
of all medium are invited to apply.
Each artist must send a representation of their work; slides, photos,
samples or postcards from previous exhibitions are acceptable. Slides and photos must have an asterisk (*)
in the upper right hand corner, to clarify direction. A panel of judges from the Urbana Business Association, 40
North/88 West, the Champaign County Arts, Culture and Entertainment Council and
the festival committee will select artists.
Each artist will be notified of his or her entry by August 1st.
Booth space is greatly discounted to selected
artists, at $75 per (11’ x 11’) space.
Artists
will be exhibiting outside, rain or shine, on Saturday, Aug. 28th
from 11am to 11pm.

Vendors
are completely responsible for setting up their booth.
2.
Vendors
are completely responsible for all booth operation materials including staffing
their booth during hours of operations during festival hours.
3.
Vendors
may begin set up on Saturday, August 28th at 8 am.
4.
Vehicles
may be pulled onto street for unloading, but MUST be removed by 10am.
5.
Set-up
should be complete by 10:45am.
1. Vendors are completely responsible for setting
up their booth.
2.
Vendors
are completely responsible for cleaning their booth space after the festival.
3.
Vendors
MAY NOT begin breakdown until 11pm unless otherwise notified by authorized
festival coordinator.
4.
Vendors
may request early dismissal from the festival pending uncontrollable
circumstances. In such instances the Festival Coordinator is the only source to
grant approval.
