Ribbon Cuttings Ceremonies

It has been another active year for Urbana businesses. The Urbana Business Association offers a complimentary Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for any new business that is interested in doing so. So far this year, Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies have been held for the following businesses: Aldi, Camelot Restaurant in the Historic Lincoln Hotel, and Walmart. The Urbana Business Association is currently coordinating several other upcoming Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies. Check back for more details or contact the Urbana Bussiness Association. Urbana has recently benefited from new businesses in the area. These include Aldi, Walmart, Peoria Charter Coach Company and Holiday Inn Express.

Lincoln Square Village Holiday Market

The Urbana Business Association and Lincoln Square are proud to present the Annual Holiday Market. The event will be held on Saturdays only, beginning November 17th and continuing through December 22nd, 2007. Sweetcorn Festival

The businesses and residents of Urbana, Illinois are proud to present the 32nd Annual Sweetcorn Festival in downtown Urbana as Champaign County's oldest and largest festival. For over a quarter century the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival has brought thousands of friends, families, entertainers and vendors together on Main Street to share in the best that traditional, small town America has to offer. International Beer Tasting and Chili Cook-Off

Jay Goldberg Events and Entertainment in conjunction with the Urbana Business Association and The City of Urbana are proud to present what has proven to be one of Champaign-Urbana's finest events. A Beer Tasting with over 150 different specialty and import beers in conjunction with a Chili Cook-Off featuring some of CU's finest chili chefs preparing gallons of great chili -- both of which are open to public tasting! All this and great music in a festive downtown setting.

Boneyard Arts Festival

The Boneyard Arts Festival is an annual event hosted by 40 North and supported by the UBA. Visual artists, musicians and other performers come out of the woodwork as Champaign, Urbana, and Campustown come alive. The Boneyard Arts Festival was held on April 20th-22nd. Downtown Urbana Visitors' Guide

The UBA created an attractive brochure highlighting Urbana's numerous downtown businesses. The brochure is distributed through hotels, the Convention and Visitors Bureau, the city of Urbana, and area businesses.
