The first Urbana Sweetcorn Festival was held in August 1975 in the parking lot at Main & Race Streets in downtown Urbana. It was a community event put on by the employees of local business Busey Bank. The Urbana Business Association is now responsible for the planning of the festival, over the years adding an expanded family area, live music on multiple stages, food, vendors, and beer all in the heart of downtown Urbana.

2019 Urbana Sweetcorn Festival Sponsorship Opportunities Available

As a sponsor of the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival, you have an amazing opportunity to continue a 44-year-old tradition that this community looks forward to every year! For some of us, it’s nostalgic to eat that hot and buttery locally grown Sweetcorn while for others, it’s the new memories that are being made with friends and family as you walk the streets of Downtown Urbana. Streets filled with local food vendors, live music, scavenger hunts, and much much more.

Each year, over 40 area sponsor businesses contribute over $130,000 to the Urbana Sweetcorn Festival.  Some do it for the love of our community and the festival and some just can’t resist incomparable marketing opportunities. Whether for old times sake or for the promotional opportunities, you will not regret supporting this community tradition!

See all of the opportunities below, and contact paris@urbanabusiness.com if you are interested!
